Scope and content: Plan of proposed boating pond in the Dulas meadows above Bron-Deify Bridge at Lampeter. The Pool forms a wide 'moat' around an oval island, 'for picnics and concerts', and includes a depiction of a motor boat. A perimeter path was to be ringed by alternating flower beds and seats. There was to be access from Bridge Street and a drive from Station Terrace ended at a bridge to the island. A bridge across the Dulas lead to a site, 'for bowling and croquet greens, tennis and football grounds, presumably on the far side of the railway'.

The plan lacks a scale, but it seems likely that the layout was suggested by the presence of an old river meander shown as a 0.349 acre field on early County Series maps. It appears to date to the 1920s or 1930s, and presumably pre-dates the establishment of the present bowling green, which may have occurred as early as 1925, when the Club was founded.

Note: Comparisons for the pond can be had at Aberdare Park, where an island, with bandstand, was added to the Fish Pond between 1900 and 1920, as well Llandrindod Wells, where a new boathouse, built in the 1920s, could be connected with the construction of the perimeter road around the 1872-3 boating lake. The depiction of the motorboat may be a reflection of the provision of bigger craft on the boating lake in Stanley Park, Blackpool, opened in 1926. There were also dedicated ponds for miniature boats, such as that at Saltcoats, Ayreshire, opened in 1938.
