Sepia photograph mounted on card, much torn, showing three figures on an otherwise empty Marine Parade. The central figure is formally attired with a top hat. The photograph is undated: many of the houses have been fitted with bow windows, but a two storey row in the foreground have yet to be raised. Bathing machines cluster on the beach.
