Scope and Content:
Blue leather case containing 30 cabinet cards that can be dated to the period 1865-1900. That of Mrs Kewley, née Webley Parry, is labelled ‘Mama’, an annotation that can be attributed to Mary or Katherine Kewley, and the collection may have been assembled by or for her.
Name of photographer’s studio is given below each description.

1. Woman in lace cap, identified on reverse as Nina Webley Parry (Née Palatiana). Nina Catherine Helena (d 1917) daughter of Count Demetrios de Palatine of Corfu, married David Kedgwin William Henry Webley-Parry in 1861

7. Gravestone of Elizabeth Hope, née Sykes (1821-1882), second wife of Rear Admiral Charles Hope (1798-1854). Elizabeth was the eldest daughter of Joseph Sykes of Raywell, East Yorkshire (now on outskirts of Hull). Notes on reverse, ‘Almondsbury, Gloucestershire 1882’, ‘Monument to Mrs Charles Hope nee Sykes’. ‘(First) wife was Anne Maria Webley Parry & their children were Charles Hope … Chatty Dundas’

9. Family group portrait, without pater, with much heavy furniture. Notes on reverse, ‘Evelyn - Alice - Charlie - Georgie - Willie - Adrian - Owen and Arthur Hope’, ‘Willie killed, Charlie died, Owen died 1927, Alice and Evelyn died 1939 1940’, this annotation having been made between 1940 and 1959, when George died.

The elder Mr Gower was Robert Frederick (d. 1884) and his son was Erazmus.
