Bwadrain mine plan

‘Section of Bwadrain Consols’, scale four fathoms to an inch.
The mine is said to have commenced in 1838 and significant ore sales are recorded between 1867 and 1876 (D. Bick The Old Metal Mines of Mid-Wales. Part 2, 21).
Borders, title and surface features neatly executed, under-drawing visible throughout underground workings. Engine shaft and rise connect three levels, areas of stoping shown in blue and brown/browned wash and pencil. Drawn on linen or tracing cloth.
