Exercise book lacking covers, written almost entirely in ink with occasional pencil. Opens with a lesson to be learnt dated 2 May 1883. Contains geography, including hand-drawn maps, mathematics, English, including parsing, grammar and vocabulary, and Latin. Secondary pencil text records that David E. Jones was then in Standard VI.
