Will of Mary Jones, Blackbird House, Llandysul (Ref: ADX/813)
Will of Mary Jones, Blackbird House, Llandysul, made on 25 July 1835. She leaves all her personal estates to Sara Jones of the same address. Will is witnessed by Enoch James, vicar of Llandysul, and by 'James Rees Clerke'. Mary died in November 1835 aged 45 and was buried at Llandysul parish churchyard. Her gravestone does not survive and the will does not appear to have been proven.

Collection of papers- mostly lecture notes, also printed material: journals, newspaper cuttings, lists of students who sat the final examinations for Certificate in Education in 1926; also assorted photographs of Prof. Chapple and his family; these are mostly negatives (some glass) but some are prints. Some photos show Aberystwyth and ?other locations. A few of the photos are very early- clearly Edwardian.
Professor Charles Roberts Chapple (b. 21 February 1874, d. 15 June 1965) was the Professor of Education at UCW Aberystwyth 1913-1939. There is a short article on his retirement in The Dragon, issue LXI.
