The Michell family (Ref: ADX/1022)

   The Michell family originated from Devon and Cornwall. They were always associated with mining and engineering. All the Ceredigion Michells descend from one couple, William and Rebecca Michell, who arrived in Cardiganshire c. 1845. This collection has been deposited by a descendant, who provided the descriptions (list in box).
   
   Also CD of digital scans of Dorothy Michell's (nee Williams) autograph book. Her father was an elder of Ponterwyd chapel and the book was signed by various visiting ministers and students of Theological College in Aberystwyth.
   
   Also a note from the depositor on her great aunt, Beatrice Sarah Michell (1881-1941)
